John Nerud, 97, the oldest living member of the National Museum of Racing’s Hall of Fame, visited the facility in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., on Friday. Nerud won more than 1,000 races in his career, including the Belmont Stakes, Travers Stakes and Jockey Club Gold Cup. Nerud, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1972, is pictured posing in front of a portrait of himself by artist Anthony Alonso.
